HOW DOES COVID-19 SPREAD?
*HOW DOES COVID-19 SPREAD?*
A person can catch COVID-19 from anyone who is carrying the virus, even if they are not sick.
π€§ The virus can spread from an infected personβs mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe.
π The virus spreads mainly when in close contact with an infected person, typically less than 1 metre.
*π¦ * The virus can also spread in indoor, poorly ventilated and/or crowded settings, where people tend to spend longer periods of time. In these conditions, very small infected particles can remain suspended in the air or travel farther than 1 metre.
π₯ You may also contract the virus by touching a surface contaminated with the virus.
π· Always maintain at least 1 meter distance between yourself and others, and wear a mask.
π¨ Keep your home well ventilated by opening windows and avoid crowds and poorly ventilated indoor spaces.
π€ Clean hands frequently.
